Tradition

Red wine

AOC Grignan-les-Adhémar

Terroir :

The cuvée comes from vineyards of about twenty years old growing in plain ground, under the influence of our remarkable Mediterranean climate. They flourish on clay-limestone soil. The vines are trellised and carefully pruned giving relatively low yields (45hl / Ha), favorable to the aromas of fruit and terroir.

Vinification :

The grapes are picked at full maturity. The Tradition cuvee is vinified in thermo-regulated concrete vats. The vatting and maceration take place over 2 weeks. The harvest is completely destemmed. A daily reassembly allows a regular oxygenation of the must and a soft extraction of tannins and aromas.

Blend :

This blend is a blend of 90% Syrah and 10% Grenache.

Tasting :

Light and garnet red colour. Subtle nose on red fruits; on the palate, the aromas of red and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry) develop on melted tannins. A wine that is easygoing, fruity, and light.

Food and wine pairings :

The Tradition goes perfectly with deli meats, a veal stew, grilled meats and why not with a rabbit in gibelotte.

Cellaring potential :

to be tasted in the 4 years.
