Our terroir, our vineyards
Our region
Our geographical position, in the heart of the Rhone Valley between the southern and northern crus, allows us to obtain harmonious wines with expressive aromas and great softness.
Our terroir
Placed on a first terrace of the Rhone, 125 meters above sea level, our vines are anchored in a ground carpeted with rolled pebbles, which, associated with a clay soil give us an ideal terroir for the wine culture.
The Mediterranean climate rocked by the Mistral dear to Pagnol, allows our vines and our grapes to express their character and personality under the warmth of the sun of the Drome Provencale and the song of cicadas.
This terroir also hosts truffles, lavender and of course the wines of the Domaine Almoric.
Our vineyards
The vineyard is composed of vines of all ages, allowing the production of fruity or spicy wines.
The domain extends over 20 hectares entirely on the commune of Allan. Today, our grape varieties are composed of 50% Syrah, 35% Grenache, 7% Viognier, 5% Cinsault, 1.5% Marsanne and 1.5% Roussanne.
Our production varies between 30 and 45 HL / hectare. This yield helps to respect the plant and the soil in which it flourishes. We harvest at full maturity to highlight the best quality of the fruits we harvest.
Finally, because our work is based on the earth, we decided to respect it by adopting the practices of a reasoned agriculture. The vines are grassed and are regularly mown to preserve the fauna and flora essential to a harmonious ecosystem. This allows to obtain products of a superior quality by respecting and preserving our soils as well as the ecology.
